Eating Disorder Treatment

Whether you find yourself in the “early stages” or consider your eating disorder to be chronic, I’m here to support you.

Together we can explore your relationship with food, body image, movement, and emotional well-being all while continuing to move through the realities of everyday life. Some ares of focus may include: eating patterns, coping skills, body image concerns, perfectionism, identity, trauma, and the emotional experiences that can contribute to eating disorders.

Throughout my career I’ve heard over and over again that clients hesitated to pursue therapy for fear of hospitalization- my goal is to hear that fear, hold it with you, and create an individualized plan for treatment at whatever pace or setting you feel comfortable.

Each client’s needs are different- the approach for one is not the approach for all. Let’s map out a plan together.

Trauma Therapy & EMDR

Trauma therapy may sound scary and confusing. You might be wondering “Is what I experienced really trauma?”

Let’s explore that curiosity together through gentle conversation and psycho-education so we can find the right path forward for you.

I’m trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) by EMDRIA to help you process distressing memories and experiences so they feel less overwhelming.

Using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps your mind reframe past events, reduce emotional intensity, and make it easier to move forward in daily life.

EMDR is not magic or a “quick fix’. It requires time, patience, and careful preparation within the therapeutic alliance. If you are interested, please let me know so we can discuss how we might utilize this intervention as part of your care.
